Travel charger
Travel charger was recalled on 5 September 2008 under EU Safety Gate alert 0979/08. Electric shock risk reported by Slovakia. The product poses a risk of electric shock because :- the construction of the converter does not comply with the requirements for safe separation of primary winding from secondary winding,- clearances and creepage distances do not comply with requirements for double insulation,- the length of the conductors enables by-passing of double insulation in the case of connector release, and a possibility of the presence of mains voltage on the exit connector,- the requirements for reinforced insulation between the output connector and mains plug for double insulation are not met.
