Candle – coffee candle (aromatherapy) was recalled on 14 March 2008 under EU Safety Gate alert 0321/08. Choking risk reported by Slovakia. The product poses a risk of choking because, due to their characteristic form, appearance, colour, size and smell, the candles may be mistaken for a foodstuff.

Risk Description
The product poses a risk of choking because, due to their characteristic form, appearance, colour, size and smell, the candles may be mistaken for a foodstuff. The decorations resembling coffee beans and pieces of chocolate can become detached and pose a risk of choking if put into the mouth and swallowed. The product does not comply with the Directive 87/357/EEC on products which, appearing to be other than they are, endanger the health or safety of consumers.

Product Description
Set comprised of two candles placed in ceramic cups for coffee. The candle has the shape of a cappuccino with a skim decorated with coffee beans and with pieces of dark wax resembling pieces of chocolate on the top. The candles have an aroma of coffee. Packed in a transparent box fixed inside brown cardboard. A paper band with the text "coffee candle aromatherapy" is glued on the box. On the bottom – three stickers – a green one with title "Nonna & Sons", the second one in Polish language with data about economic operator, the third one from the Slovak distributor.
