Risk Description
The product poses a chemical risk because it contains 0.85% by weight of dibutyl phthalate (DBP) and the approved limit is 0.1%.The product also presents a risk of choking; the toy could break in small parts which could be placed in the mouth and swallowed by children.According to the REACH Regulation, the phthalates DEHP, DBP and BBP are prohibited in all toys and childcare articles, while phthalates DINP, DIDP and DNOP are prohibited in toys or childcare articles that can be placed in the mouth by children. The product does not comply with the Toys Directive and with the relevant European standard EN 71-1:2011.
