Switching mode power supply
Switching mode power supply was recalled on 10 October 2008 under EU Safety Gate alert 1125/08. Electric shock risk reported by Slovakia. The product poses a risk of electric shock because: - construction of the converter does not comply with the requirements for distance between primary and secondary windings for reinforced insulation, - the capacitors in primary circuits do not comply, - values for clearances and creepage distances are less than the minimum required,- the length of conductors enables by-passing of double insulation in the case of connector release and a possibility of presence of mains voltage on exit connectors, - material of connector is not resistant against excessive heat, - the product did not pass the tensile test for basic insulation between cover and mains plugs.
