Portable work lamp was recalled on 7 October 2011 under EU Safety Gate alert 1040/11. Electric shock risk reported by Hungary. The product poses a risk of electric shock because:- the distance between the grid and the lamp is less than required so that the lamp can be easily damaged.

Risk Description
The product poses a risk of electric shock because:- the distance between the grid and the lamp is less than required so that the lamp can be easily damaged. In this case, the live spiral holders of the lamp may come into contact with the protective covering and grid,- the mains supply cable is not sufficiently insulated. The cable insulation can be easily damaged and the live parts of the cable can become accessible. The product does not comply with the Low Voltage Directive (LVD) and the relevant European standard EN 60598.

The main components of the lamp: black plastic handle with a two-position, "on-off" switch, metal grid with a hook, E27 lamp holder, 5m long mains supply cable.
