A defective pump casing for the auxiliary coolant pump of the exhaust-gas turbocharger can cause cracking and, if cooling liquid penetrates the casing, a short circuit or smouldering could occur.

Risk Description
A defective pump casing for the auxiliary coolant pump of the exhaust-gas turbocharger can cause cracking and, if cooling liquid penetrates the casing, a short circuit or smouldering could occur. In the event of smouldering damage, a fire in the engine or even a vehicle fire cannot be completely excluded.
