Lighting chain - 20L LED light was recalled on 17 October 2008 under EU Safety Gate alert 1152/08. Electric shock risk reported by Hungary. The product poses a risk of electric shock because : - there is only basic insulation on the soldered connections of the light sources, - the cross-section area of the core is too small, - the cable inlet of the rectifying unit has sharp edges, - the cord anchorage is missing in the rectifying unit.

Risk Description

The product poses a risk of electric shock because : - there is only basic insulation on the soldered connections of the light sources, - the cross-section area of the core is too small, - the cable inlet of the rectifying unit has sharp edges, - the cord anchorage is missing in the rectifying unit. The product does not comply with the Low Voltage Directive and the relevant European standard EN 60598.

Product Description

The product is a lighting chain including a plastic and metal frame in the form of a shooting star, with 20 connected non-replaceable LEDs, 20 resistors and a rectifying unit. Mains plug with inscription: "2.5 A 250 V~CE+VDE; rectifying unit with inscription: LX-01 24V-240V 50/60Hz 1.0A +CE; resistors of 620 ohm; LEDs without marking, mains cable without marking. Technical parameters: 230 V~, 50 Hz, 4,6 W; 3 V; 0,02A; 0,06W; Class II, IP20.
