Fluorescent light
Fluorescent light was recalled on 5 October 2007 under EU Safety Gate alert 0994/07. Fire risk reported by Slovakia. The product poses a serious risk of fire because:- deformation of die-casting occurred at temperature 125 ºC, - pellet impress diameter is 7,3 mm whereas the limit is 2 mm,- after testing with acicular flame, the material of product has ignited,- after testing with burning loop at temperature 850 ºC the material immediately set on fire without any chance of fire to get extinguished spontaneously.

Risk Description
The product poses a serious risk of fire because:- deformation of die-casting occurred at temperature 125 ºC, - pellet impress diameter is 7,3 mm whereas the limit is 2 mm,- after testing with acicular flame, the material of product has ignited,- after testing with burning loop at temperature 850 ºC the material immediately set on fire without any chance of fire to get extinguished spontaneously. The material kept on burning after loop has been pushed aside. The material also failed after testing at temperature 750 ºC.This product does not comply with the Low Voltage Directive and the relevant European standard EN-60598.

The product was sold in cardboard box on which there was: "fluorescent light LUCERNA TL 3020 18W, 230V/50 Hz, type of pentad G13 and CE mark". The product was labelled by typal label on which there was: "LUCERNA, model: TL 3020/18W, 230V/50 Hz, G13:IP20 and CE mark".
