Risk Description
The wrist strap contains an excessive concentration of dibutyl phthalate (DBP), bis(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP), di-‘isononyl’ phthalate (DIP) and diisobutyl phthalate (DIBP) (measured values: up to 5.8 % by weight) and short-chain chlorinated paraffins (SCCPs) (measured values: up to 0,72 % by weight). These phthalates may harm the health of children, causing possible damage to their reproductive system. SCCPs persist in the environment, are toxic to aquatic organisms at low concentrations and bioaccumulate in wildlife and humans, posing a risk to human health and the environment. The product does not comply with the REACH Regulation nor with the Regulation on persistent organic pollutants (POPs).
