Risk Description
The wiring harness of the electronic steering-column lock (ESL) may come into contact with the steering-column shaft during steering movements. This may result in cable abrasion and, over time, damage to the cables. As a consequence, propulsion power and/or the power steering may be lost, increasing the risk of an accident.
