Risk Description

A small wooden part can detach. A small child may put in the mouth and choke. In addition, the strap doesn’t have a quick-opening system on it and it could pose a strangulation risk. The product does not comply with the requirements of the Toy Safety Directive and of the relevant European standard EN 71.

About this risk

Recommended action

Choking: Remove the product from children immediately. Check if any small parts are missing. If a child has swallowed a part, seek medical attention immediately. Return the product to the retailer. Strangulation: Remove the product from the child's environment immediately. Cut any cords or strings if they cannot be safely removed. Never leave children unsupervised with products that have loose cords.

Who is at risk?

Children under 3 years old are at highest risk. Supervise older children as well. Infants and young children are at the highest risk of strangulation from cords, strings, and loops.
