Risk Description

The plastic of the product has an excessive concentration of short-chain chlorinated paraffins (SCCPs)(measured value up to 0.43%by weight) and bis(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP) (measured value up to 1.8% by weight). The solders have an excessive concentration of lead (measured value up to 80 % by weight).SCCP poses a risk to the environment. Prolonged exposure through the skin may cause cancer. Lead poses a risk to the environment. Phthalates poses a risk to human health and the environment The product does not comply with the Persistent Organic Pollutants (POP) Regulation nor with the requirements of the Directive on the restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment (RoHS 2 Directive).
