Water shoes was recalled on 25 March 2022 under EU Safety Gate alert A12/00456/22. Chemical risk reported by Cyprus. The shoes contain an excessive amount of bis-(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP) and dibutyl phthalate (DBP) (measured values up to 15 % by weight, for both phthalates).

Risk Description

The shoes contain an excessive amount of bis-(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP) and dibutyl phthalate (DBP) (measured values up to 15 % by weight, for both phthalates). These phthalates may harm the health of children, possibly causing damage to their reproductive system. The product does not comply with the REACH regulation.
