Water heater was recalled on 21 December 2007 under EU Safety Gate alert 1317/07. Electric shock, Fire risk reported by Bulgaria. The product poses a risk of fire and electric shock because: - the products construction creates risk of fire as result of careless and abnormal work,- the water heater is not marked with the declared voltage or voltage range and the power supply type, the degree of protection against water penetration (IP XX), - lack of marking for minimum and maximum level of submerging of the device,- lack of caution against cord replacement in the case of damage and placing the hot device on incombustible surfaces after switching off or removal from the water in the instruction for usage.

Risk Description
The product poses a risk of fire and electric shock because: - the products construction creates risk of fire as result of careless and abnormal work,- the water heater is not marked with the declared voltage or voltage range and the power supply type, the degree of protection against water penetration (IP XX), - lack of marking for minimum and maximum level of submerging of the device,- lack of caution against cord replacement in the case of damage and placing the hot device on incombustible surfaces after switching off or removal from the water in the instruction for usage. The product does not comply with the Low Voltage Directive and the relevant European Standard EN 60335.
