Water dispenser was recalled on 14 August 2009 under EU Safety Gate alert 1094/09. Burns, Electric shock, Injuries risk reported by Cyprus. The product poses a risk of electric shock, burns and injuries because of:- excessive pressure and the leakage of steam and water through the plastic tube joints,- the voltage is 240V instead of 230V.

Risk Description

The product poses a risk of electric shock, burns and injuries because of:- excessive pressure and the leakage of steam and water through the plastic tube joints,- the voltage is 240V instead of 230V.In addition there is a high nickel concentration in the drinking water from the appliance.The product does not comply with the relevant European standard EN 60335.

Product Description

The product is a water dispenser. It is used to provide hot and cold water for drinks. It is grey white and fitted with a water bottle on top. It has two buttons to switch on and off the heater or cooler of the device. It has two thermostats one for low temperature and one for hot. Packaging: Hot water temperature 85-95C. Heating power 550W. Cold water temperature 5-12C. Chilling power 85-95w. Refrigerant gas /weight r134/38g. Class I.
