Risk Description
The toy poses a chemical risk as it contains 0,47 % by weight of di-"isononyl" phthalate (DINP). According to the Chemicals Restrictions Directive 76/769/EEC, the allowed maximum level for phthalates is 0,1%. The product may come into contact with a child’s lips and mouth and the restricted chemicals may get into saliva and can be swallowed. Phthalates may cause harm to an unborn child and possibly pose a risk of impaired fertility. Phthalates have a negative impact on the development of male/female reproductive organs.
