Risk Description

The plastic of the wristband contains 2-ethylhexyl phthalate (DEHP) (measured value: 28 % by weight) and short chain chlorinated paraffins (SCCPs) (measured value: up to 0.44 % by weight). DEHP is a phtalate that may harm the health of children, causing possible damage to their reproductive system.SCCPs persist in the environment, are toxic to aquatic organisms at low concentrations and bioaccumulate in wildlife and humans, posing a risk to human health and the environment. Also prolonged exposure to them through the skin may cause cancer.The product does not comply with the REACH Regulation and the Regulation on persistent organic pollutants (POP Regulation).
