Risk Description

The plastic casing is not sufficiently heat resistant and may overheat and catch fire. The accessible metal parts of the UV tubes are separated with only basic insulation from the live parts. The wire ends of the cable are not properly secured and could detach causing them to become accessible or causing accessible metal parts to become live. If an internal short circuit occurred, the fluorescent lamp may explode causing cuts to the user. The warnings supplied with the product are insufficient.The product does not comply with the requirements of the Low Voltage Directive and the relevant European standard EN 60335.
