Risk Description
1) The product poses a chemical risk because the plastic in the pocket contains up to 2.3% di-2-ethylhexyl phthalate (DEHP). According to the REACH Regulation, the phthalates DEHP, DBP and BBP are prohibited in all toys and childcare articles, while phthalates DINP, DIDP and DNOP are prohibited in toys or childcare articles that can be placed in the mouth by children.2) - The product poses an environmental risk (chemical pollution) because the plastic in the pocket contains up to 5.7% short chain chlorinated paraffin (SCCP). The product does not comply with the Commission Regulation 519/2012 on persistent organic pollutants (POP Regulation).- The product poses an environmental risk (chemical pollution) because the solder in the walkie talkie contains up to 54.6% lead. The product does not comply with the Commission Directive 2011/65/EU on the restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment (RoHS 2 Directive).
