Risk Description
The product poses a chemical risk because the head of the doll contains 26.33 % by weight of bis (2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP) and 0.19 % by weight of di-butyl phthalate (DBP). The body of the doll contains 1.92% by weight bis (2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP) and, in addition, 0.6 % by weight di-‘isononyl’ phthalate (DINP). According to the REACH Regulation the phthalates DEHP, DBP and BBP are prohibited in all toys and childcare articles, while phthalates DINP, DIDP and DNOP are prohibited in toys or childcare articles that can be placed in the mouth by children.
