Choking Toys Serious risk

Unknown was recalled on 31 October 2014 under EU Safety Gate alert A12/1730/14. Choking risk reported by Spain. The eyes, nose and suction cup of the toys can be detached easily and put in the mouth by small children, which could pose a risk of choking.

Risk Description

The eyes, nose and suction cup of the toys can be detached easily and put in the mouth by small children, which could pose a risk of choking. In addition, at least one unit in each package, regardless of the model of toy, comes with open seams, leaving the fibrous material used to stuff the toy accessible. A child could put the filling in his/her mouth, which would cause an obstruction to the airways. The product does not comply with the requirements of the Toy Safety Directive and the relevant European standard EN 71-1.

Product Description

Key-rings in the form of different soft toy animals, ending in a suction cup. A label is attached indicating the importer's details, the model and the barcode. Packages for wholesale contain 20 units.
