Risk Description
The total amount of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAH), including benzo(a)pyrene, is too high (measured values: benzo(a)pyrene 0.016 mg/kg and total PAH 4.9 mg/kg). PAHs are carcinogenic.According to the Council of Europe Resolution ResAP (2008) on requirements and criteria for the safety of tattoos and permanent make-up, the level of benzo(a)pyrene may not exceed 0.005 mg/kg and the total level of PAH may not exceed 0.5 mg/kg.
