Travel adaptor "Unlimited Energy" was recalled on 2 September 2011 under EU Safety Gate alert 0886/11. Electric shock risk reported by The Netherlands. The product poses a risk of electric shock because:· the adapter can be inserted with a (grounded) plug Class1 but has no provision for grounding and is, therefore, unsuitable for use with appliances of Class I;· it is possible to access live parts when a plug is partly inserted into the adaptor socket outlet;· it is possible to insert only one plug contact pin into the adaptor socket, leaving the other pin accessible;· the contact pressure of the adapter socket contacts is insufficient.

Risk Description
The product poses a risk of electric shock because:· the adapter can be inserted with a (grounded) plug Class1 but has no provision for grounding and is, therefore, unsuitable for use with appliances of Class I;· it is possible to access live parts when a plug is partly inserted into the adaptor socket outlet;· it is possible to insert only one plug contact pin into the adaptor socket, leaving the other pin accessible;· the contact pressure of the adapter socket contacts is insufficient. The product does not comply with the Low Voltage Directive (LVD) and the relevant European standard EN 60884.
