Toy slime was recalled on 6 May 2022 under EU Safety Gate alert A12/00663/22. Chemical risk reported by Croatia. The migration of boron from the toy slime is too high (measured value up to 401 mg/kg).

Risk Description
The migration of boron from the toy slime is too high (measured value up to 401 mg/kg). Ingestion or contact with an excessive quantity of boron may harm the health of children by damaging their reproductive system. The product does not comply with the requirements of the Toy SafetyDirective nor with the European standard EN 71-3.
