Toy mobile phone was recalled on 4 July 2008 under EU Safety Gate alert 0715/08. Choking, Damage to hearing risk reported by Poland. The product poses a risk of:- damage to hearing because it produces sound with a weighted emission of acoustic pressure of 96 dB, which exceeds the permitted limit value of 80 dB for toys to be used close to the ear,- choking because of easily accessible batteries.

Risk Description

Product Description
The toy is a folding mobile phone made of white and pink coloured plastic with a picture of Minnie Mouse. There is also a pink cord attached to the toy. Pressing any button results in sound emission. The toy is powered by 2 LR4G 1.5 V (AG13) batteries, which are attached to the product. The product may be counterfeit
