Risk Description
The gaps between the bars of the safety gate are too large: A crawling child could try to pass his legs or torso between the bars, leaving the head blocked, which could lead to respiratory difficulties or strangulation. The fixing mechanism of the gate is inadequate and fails to hold it in position: if a child tries to shake it, or if it leans or falls against it, the gate may get loose and the child may fall down stairs. In addition, it has protruding corners where the garments of a child could get caught, causing strangulation, and there is an opening between the door and the horizontal member below it where a child's finger could be pinched. The product does not comply with the relevant European standard EN 1930.
