Risk Description
The tiles have an excessive concentration of lead (measured value: 0.39 % by weight)and pose a risk of lead poisoning for anyone coming into contact with them (by progressive exposure once the tiles have been laid, by leaching, particularly if the glazing is incomplete or irregular, by short-term exposure during the cutting and laying of tiles), and by the dust contained in lead and released during the cutting of the tiles. Lead is harmful to human health, accumulates in the body, can cause developmental neurotoxicity and may affect breast-fed or unborn children. The product does not comply with the General Product Safety Regulation nor with the Construction Product Regulation.
