Risk Description
The extension cord is not safe as its insulation may be damaged under certain circumstances which can cause injury by electric current and fire hazard. In particular, the product suffers from the following non-compliances with standards:- the tensile strength of insulation is less than the 10 MPa required (green-yellow – measured value of 6.87 MPa, blue – measured value of 8.19 MPa, brown – measured value of 7.76 MPa) ;- as to vertical spread of fire, the entire product burns.The product does not comply with the Low Voltage Directive and the relevant European standards EN 60811 and EN 50265.
