Risk Description
The solders in the product have an excessive concentration of lead (measured value up to 71.1% by weight). The black cable in the product has excessive concentrations of bis(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP) and short chained chlorinated paraffines (SCCPs) (measured value up to 2.0% and 0.37% by weight, respectively). Lead poses a risk to the environment. DEHP poses a risk to human health and the environment. SCCPs persists in the environment are toxic and bio-accumulates, posing a risk to human health and the environment. The product does not comply with the Directive on the restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment (RoHS 2 Directive) nor with the Persistent Organic Pollutants (POP) Regulation.
