Terrorist Spider was recalled on 27 May 2022 under EU Safety Gate alert A12/00758/22. Choking risk reported by Poland. When the product is placed in water, the expanding material of the caterpillars increases in size by more than 50 percent.

Risk Description
When the product is placed in water, the expanding material of the caterpillars increases in size by more than 50 percent. A child can put pieces into the mouth. As the toy expands, it can cause fatal occlusion of the respiratory tract and/or intestinal blockage. The product does not comply with the requirements of the Toy Safety Directive nor with the European standard EN 71-1.

Product Description
Toy spider (size 64 mm), made of plastic material. There are two holes in the abdomen that contain two caterpillars of approximately 26 mm.

Recommended action
Remove the product from children immediately. Check if any small parts are missing. If a child has swallowed a part, seek medical attention immediately. Return the product to the retailer.
Who is at risk?
Children under 3 years old are at highest risk. Supervise older children as well.
