Risk Description

This product poses a risk of fire due to a manufacturing defect in the form of a weak soldering connection affecting television sets made between March 1999 and October 2001.The weak soldering connection can lead to partial overheating in the lower part of the set and - in the worst case - to a fire hazard. Damage to property has been reported. In a very small number of cases persons received medical attention owing to suspected smoke intoxication.
