Supermag was recalled on 4 July 2014 under EU Safety Gate alert A12/1012/14. Injuries risk reported by Lithuania. The product poses a risk of injuries (intestinal blockage) because the magnets have a high magnetic flux value and if more than one small magnet is swallowed they can be attracted to one another through the gut wall, causing perforation or blockage.

Risk Description

The product poses a risk of injuries (intestinal blockage) because the magnets have a high magnetic flux value and if more than one small magnet is swallowed they can be attracted to one another through the gut wall, causing perforation or blockage. In addition the product poses a risk of choking.The product does not comply with the Toy Safety Directive and with the relevant European standard EN71-1.
