Straightening iron
Straightening iron was recalled on 22 December 2006 under EU Safety Gate alert 0852/06. Electric shock risk reported by Czechia. This product poses a serious risk of electric shock because: - there is inadequate cross-section area of conductors in the supply cord;- the insulation does not comply with the requirements of the standards on both double and reinforced insulation;- the protection against accidental touch with basic insulation is not secured;- the sleeving that is used as a supplementary insulation of the internal wire of the switch is not retained in its position by positive means;- the product is not marked correctly; - the instructions for use are not provided with the appliance.
