Risk Description
The plastic cord of the product contains an excessive amount of bis(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP), (measured values: up to 5.5% by weight). This phthalate may harm the health by causing possible damage to the reproductive system. The metal (solder) in the product contains an excessive amount of lead (measured value up to: 37.4% by weight).The (plastic material of) the product contains short chain chlorinated paraffins (SCCPs) (measured value up to 0.29 % by weight). The product does not comply with the REACH Regulation, with the Commission Directive on the restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment (RoHS 2 Directive) and with the Regulation on persistent organic polutants (POP Regulation).
