Risk Description
The product poses a risk of injuries because:- there are sharp points on the locking struts,- when the product is used either as a free-standing stepladder or as a single ladder leaning on a support surface, the manual mechanisms (metal plates 1.2 mm thick and 73 mm long) that lock the joints in leave a gap in which fingers could be entrapped.The product does not comply with the relevant standard UNE EN 131.

The product is a metal stepladder / ladder. Attached to it is an adhesive label bearing the following text: HAILO. EN-131 GS. Max.150 Kg. ProfiStep 7412-011. 4x3 sprossen/steps/échelons, bar code 4007126941219. Two further sheets of paper taped to the stepladder read as follows: Universal stepladder 74-031 GS EN 131 Made by Hailo. Hailo Werk-Germany, and pictograms showing how it is to be used.
