Risk Description
There is an excessive migration of lead from the lead and coating of the pencils (measured values up to: 1442 mg/kg). A child using the pencils could put one in the mouth and suck on it and become exposed to lead. Exposure to lead can result in severe and irreversible neuro-behavioural and neuro-developmental effects to which children are particularly sensitive.The product does not comply with the Toy Safety Directive and with the relevant European standard EN 71-3.
