Steam iron was recalled on 3 January 2007 under EU Safety Gate alert 0892/06. Electric shock, Fire risk reported by Czechia. This product poses a serious risk of electric shock and fire because during the abnormal operation test both flames and poisonous/ignitable gas were emitted and the test corner floor temperature rise exceeded the required value.

Risk Description
This product poses a serious risk of electric shock and fire because during the abnormal operation test both flames and poisonous/ignitable gas were emitted and the test corner floor temperature rise exceeded the required value. In addition, after the abnormal operation test the product did not withstand the electric strength test. This product does not comply with the Low Voltage Directive and the relevant European standard EN 60335.
