Standing ventilator was recalled on 31 October 2008 under EU Safety Gate alert 1267/08. Injuries risk reported by Bulgaria. The product poses a risk of injuries because:- the protecting grille does not ensure protection against the rotating vanes and does not have sufficient mechanical strength,- the fan overturns when positioned on a slope surface of 10°.

Risk Description
The product poses a risk of injuries because:- the protecting grille does not ensure protection against the rotating vanes and does not have sufficient mechanical strength,- the fan overturns when positioned on a slope surface of 10°. In addition, the appliance is not marked with the required symbol and the instructions for use lack safety information.The product does not comply with the Low Voltage Directive and the relevant European standard EN 60335.

Product Description
Floor standing fan, light grey, total height of about 1 m; the stand is fixed to a cross-shaped base and is equipped with a control panel with four push buttons and a light source, rotating vanes protected with a grille approx 45 cm in diameter; supply cord H03 VV H2-F with a moulded plug marked: 2,5А 250V. The standing fan rotates at 3 speeds. Technical data: 45W, 220V, 50Hz.
