Risk Description
The electrical connector may not be properly insulated, leading moisture to enter into the steering assist system control unit. This could disrupt the transmission of signals in the control unit, resulting in the power-assisted steering being deactivated without warning. This could increase the risk of an accident. Moreover, the improper insulation could also cause a short circuit, creating a risk of fire. The product does not comply with the Regulation on the approval and market surveillance of motor vehicles and their trailers, and of systems, components and separate technical units intended for such vehicles.
