The products pose a chemical risk because the plastic material in the dog’s nose contains Di(2-ethylhexyl)phthalate (DEHP), which exceeds the limit 0.1 % by weight. One of the toys contains 16% by weight of DEHP. According to the Chemical Restrictions Directive 76/769/EEC, certain phthalates in toys are prohibited.
