Risk Description
The steering tube may easily break while a child is riding and the scooter is not sufficiently stable, which may cause the child to fall. The grips protecting the handlebar ends can detach. If a child falls on the unprotected handlebar end, this can cause injuries such as puncture of the abdomen. There are gaps between the wheels and the body of the scooter where fingers can become trapped.The product does not comply with the requirements of the Toy Safety Directive and the relevant European standard EN 71-1.The plastic of the grips contains di-(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP) (measured value 4.6% by weight) and dibutyl phthalate (DBP) (measured value 0.4 % by weight). These phthalates may harm the health of children, causing possible damage to the reproductive system.According to the REACH Regulation the phthalates DEHP, DBP and BBP are prohibited in all toys and childcare articles.
