Sauna belt was recalled on 6 July 2007 under EU Safety Gate alert 0631/07. Burns, Electric shock, Fire risk reported by Hungary. The product poses a serious risk of electric shock because:- the cord anchorage protecting against pulling and twisting force is missing;- the plug is of non-standardized type;- the insulation is insufficient therefore flashover occurs;and of fire and burns because the cross section area of the mains cable is too small and the appliance overheats during the abnormal operation test.

Risk Description

Product Description
The mains cable of the product is connected to the control unit supplied with yellow plastic cover, where a silver turn button and a red turn-on LED is placed. The output wire of this is connected to the sauna belt. Main parts of the device: mains plug (2.5A, 250V); mains cable (JULUYIXI JUEYUAN DIANXIAN 227 IEC 52 (RVV) 300/300V); control panel (FA74). Technical specification: 230 V; 50-60 Hz; 55 W. Class II (by appearance); lot identification: T-134-1.
