Residual current devices (RCDs) was recalled on 2 March 2007 under EU Safety Gate alert 0188/07. Electric shock risk reported by Poland. Residual current devices, which serve as protection against electric shock, are used to cut off the electric current in case of improper functioning of electric installation.

Risk Description
Residual current devices, which serve as protection against electric shock, are used to cut off the electric current in case of improper functioning of electric installation. These RCDs pose a serious risk of electric shock because they do not work when the product is faulty (it shows a significant divergence from the parameters, which are placed as patterns on the product). They can be used by consumers because they are installed in houses and users have access to them.

Product Description
Series manufactured between January 2003 and May 2005. The letter "M" stands for RCDs from the affected series.
