Risk Description
The product has an excessive concentration of cadmium (measured value up to 0.056% by weight). Additionally, the rate of nickel release is too high (measured value up to 89.89 µg/cm2/week). Cadmium is harmful to human health because it accumulates in the body, can damage the kidneys and bones and it may cause cancer. Nickel is a strong sensitiser and causes allergic reactions if present in articles that come into direct and prolonged contact with the skin. This product does not comply with the REACH Regulation.
