Rechargeable headlamp "LED Head Light" was recalled on 2 September 2011 under EU Safety Gate alert 0887/11. Electric shock, Fire risk reported by Hungary. The product poses a risk of electric shock and fire because:· the live pins may be touched during use;· the cross-sectional area of the core of the cable is not sufficient and, in case of a short circuit, the internal wires may overheat;· the accessible metal casing of the headlamp is separated by only basic insulation from the live conductors;· the basic insulated internal wiring contacts sharp edges of accessible metal parts and may get damaged.

Risk Description
The product poses a risk of electric shock and fire because:· the live pins may be touched during use;· the cross-sectional area of the core of the cable is not sufficient and, in case of a short circuit, the internal wires may overheat;· the accessible metal casing of the headlamp is separated by only basic insulation from the live conductors;· the basic insulated internal wiring contacts sharp edges of accessible metal parts and may get damaged. Consequently the accessible metal parts may become live. The product does not comply with the Low Voltage Directive (LVD) and the relevant European standard EN 60598.
Product Description
Rechargeable headlamp with 7 LEDs. Includes a built-in battery and battery charger. The product housing is made of black plastic with a red charge indicator LED.
