Recessed luminaire was recalled on 21 March 2008 under EU Safety Gate alert 0340/08. Electric shock risk reported by Hungary. The product poses risk of electric shock because:- the basic-insulated parts (terminal block and single insulated wires) are accessible, - it lacks device protecting against pulling and twisting force,- plastic bushings are missing at the entry hole which has sharp metal edges,- the PVC insulated internal wiring overheats at the measured value of 107°C.

Product Description
The metal-covered luminaire provided with aluminium mirror consists of a metal frame and a fitting unit fixed to the frame with riveting. The fitting unit includes the E27 ceramic lampholder and a terminal block. Main components: lampholder ("250V 660W), terminal block ("380V 10A" + mark of approval), internal wiring ("GB5023.3-1997 227IEC 02(RV) 300/500V"). Technical specifications: 230 V; 50 Hz; max 60 W E27; Class I; F-mark, IP20.
