The vehicle’s engine may fail to restart after driving in electric vehicle (EV) mode due to a software problem in the inverter control module when the high-voltage (HV) battery charge decreases. This could result in a loss of motive power, increasing the risk of an accident and injuries. The product does not comply with the Regulation on the approval and market surveillance of motor vehicles and their trailers, and of systems, components and separate technical units intended for such vehicles.
