Rag doll was recalled on 16 May 2008 under EU Safety Gate alert 0517/08. Chemical risk reported by Germany. The product poses a chemical risk because:- the hair of the rag doll contains banned azodyes, which, by breaking down into one or more azo groups, can form carcinogenic amines.

Risk Description
The product poses a chemical risk because:- the hair of the rag doll contains banned azodyes, which, by breaking down into one or more azo groups, can form carcinogenic amines.- the orange-coloured textile fibres used for the hair of the doll contain 1076 mg/kg of 4-aminoazobenzene.The product does not comply with the Chemical Restrictions Directive 76/769/EEC.
