Pumpkin was recalled on 20 May 2016 under EU Safety Gate alert A12/0598/16. Choking risk reported by Sweden. Some of the pins on the rattle have not been glued correctly and the sides can detach.

Risk Description

Some of the pins on the rattle have not been glued correctly and the sides can detach. If the rattle falls apart, the bell inside is released and a small child could put the bell into the mouth and choke.The product does not comply with the requirements of the Toy Safety Directive and the relevant European standard EN 71-1.

Product Description

Babies' multicoloured bell rattle. The rattles comes in white and blue, white and pink or white and green. On each of the sides there are pictures of an owl.

This recall involves a choking hazard related to Pumpkin.

This product contains small parts that can detach and pose a choking hazard, or its size and shape make it dangerous for young children if swallowed or placed in the mouth.

Recommended action

Remove the product from children immediately. Check if any small parts are missing. If a child has swallowed a part, seek medical attention immediately. Return the product to the retailer.

Children under 3 years old are at highest risk. Supervise older children as well.
