Proboost was recalled on 9 May 2025 under EU Safety Gate alert OR/00063/25. Burns, Fire, Smoke inhalation risk reported by Ireland. The capacitor component, within the control box, overheats resulting in damage to the part and to the control box which could generate smoke and fumes.

Risk Description
The capacitor component, within the control box, overheats resulting in damage to the part and to the control box which could generate smoke and fumes. This also presents a risk of fire and burns if flammable materials are stored near the unit. The product does not comply with the requirements of the General Product Safety Directive.
